[There's surprise on his face as he looks down to see Cyril lean against him. He's not sure why he is but it's...not bad.

He slides his gaze back to the ration again.]

Is that what you still want? Going to the beach to be surrounded by these men?

Right now, I'm thinking I wouldn't mind being on a beach with one particular man. But I suppose that depends on how the Galra do in the sunshine.

[Kolivan looks over at him and for a moment there's a vulnerability there in his expression. It's such a genuine desire that he's caught off guard. Even if he should have expected it.

How is this Dalish so able to work his way in like this? He can't understand why.

Well, that's good to know. [Cyril looks up at him and smiles.]

It doesn't help the party problem, though. Unless they plop us on a nice planet once this is over, it's not as if I can conjure a beach and invite your team there.

On Thedas, most of our parties revolve around a lot of food. Feasts and banquets are popular. So are plays, stories, re-enactments of our pasts or mythologies.

Maybe we could do something like that? Have a meal together, invite retellings of past victories, and drink. You probably have to drink a lot if all of your team is as big as you.

I don't usually drink. I see no reason for my people to avoid it though. If they wish to partake then they are welcome to.

[He's not saying no to a party. He's just saying he's bad at knowing how to have fun.]

I used to hate drinking. [Cyril admits after a moment.]

Especially in front of people. I didn't like the idea of losing control of myself.

Though, I'm not as opposed to it anymore.

If you wish to drink at this party you wish to do then that is alright. I would prefer not to.

[Yes he knows that people tend to have a better chance of relaxing with a drink but that simply isn't his desire.]

A celebration of sorts would be good for the people here. For more than just my people.

It would be. We should make a whole event of it. And more people would mean more resources which would add to the variety of refreshments.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic. [As in, Kolivan won't be forced to drink anything he doesn't want to drink.]

That is acceptable. Should you do this event, I will make sure that I attend.

[No promises that he will seem like he's having a good time but he'll be there.]

Good, since you would be most of the reason I would do it.

If it is a beach then I likely will not be naked. That would put me in a vulnerable position and I would be unable to properly defend myself or others.

[He sure did take that part quite seriously.]

[Cyril chuckles softly.]

I'd want the first time I got you naked to be a private show anyway.

Very well. Should you see me naked in the future it will be a private matter.

It's always so encouraging how you don't shut me down.

There is no reason to shut you down. I have welcomed you to pursue me as you wish to.

[And he's honestly considering it. Trying to be with Cyril.]

Checking in is always a good idea though. People change their minds, and when they do I don't wish to trouble them.

If I were to change my mind then I would inform you of my decision without hesitation.

You don't seem the type who hesitates over much.

When I am certain of what I intend to do, I see no reason to hesitate in the matter.

That has to be a strength as a leader. Your team doesn't have time to doubt if you are resolute.

We cannot afford hesitation if we are to win this war against the Galra.

[He offers the food to Cyril again.]

That is why I am taking my time to consider this matter with you. You have a right to an answer without hesitation. So I will make sure I am certain of my thoughts.

[Cyril finally pulls up from Kolivan so that he can eat properly.]

I appreciate that.

No matter what you decide, we'll always be allies.
