I can't imagine it makes riveting viewing for very long though.

Apparently, we all have a thirst for blood we have to contend with.

Blood and a need for revenge or justice.

I suppose I can understand that last one.

The last two are often much the same. They are rarely far apart in what they are. Something many don't realize.

Hn. And I can also understand if what you were seeking was revenge. [Which is probably as close as he's going to get to directly referencing the things he saw in Kolivan's memories.]

I never sought revenge. I knew it would be pointless and wouldn't have do any good. So what I chose to do was find justice instead.

That's the path I want to talk as well.

It is the harder path to take but the wisest one in the end.

It's the one that makes most sense to me, because in the end you aid those who need it and punish those who deserve it.

That is correct. The path of revenge will only hurt the innocent.

That's the one thing that bothers me the most.

The men and women under my command... They know they may not make it back. Innocent people, though, they've made no agreement to risk their lives. They should be protected.
